BC Health Coalition parties releases responses to Six Solutions
For Immediate Release

Conservative party fails to answer questions on key health care solutions
The BC Health Coalition had planned to release today the 3 main political parties’ response to important questions about six priority solutions to heal public health care.
Unfortunately, despite requests to clarify the Conservative Party’s positions on six priority health care solutions, John Rustad and the Conservatives Party of BC has refused to answer questions and failed to provide a credible health care plan.
In contrast, both the BC NDP and BC Greens have provided detailed, costed platforms as well as responses to the priority solutions put forward by the Health Coalition. The media and voters can read each of the party’s responses to these important questions:

“We are pleased that both the NDP and Greens took the time to fully respond to these important questions about how they will address the serious issues in our health care system”, says Riddell. “It is like comparing apples and oranges. The BC NDP and BC Greens have provided us clear detailed answers that you would expect, while the BC Conservatives have provided nothing of substance and the comments they have made don't add up.”
As a non-partisan organization, we leave it to our members and the general public to review these responses and decide for themselves which party has the best approach to heal the health care system.
“There is so much at stake in this election about the future of public healthcare, and it is shocking that the Conservative party refuses to answer questions, like what it will do to expand access to pharmacare,” says Colleen Fuller, BCHC Board member and Drug Policy Researcher. “For instance, voters have a right to know if the BC Conservatives will cut the recently announced deal with the federal government to take the first steps towards a public single payer pharmacare plan."
“The future of health care is one of the most important issues this election and British Columbians need to see what all political parties are going to do to improve public health care, not dismantle it,” says Riddell. “We call on BC voters to get informed and vote for public health care!”
