Let us know you're coming!

Alberta has passed legislation that establishes a parallel private market for medically necessary care. It allows credit cards and private insurance to replace health cards and brings American two-tier health care into Canada. This undermines the core mandate of the Canada Health Act: that care be based on need, not the ability to pay.

Even more alarming is that the federal government has remained silent, despite its responsibility to enforce the Canada Health Act. As a result, many Canadians remain unaware of what is at stake.

We are rallying at MPs’ offices across the country to ask our MPs to break their silence and defend universal, single-payer public health care.

Universal, single-payer public health care belongs to all of us. And it will take all of us to defend it.
