Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 01:00 PM
Zoom Webinar
The National Pensioners Federation and the Council of Senior Citizens Organizations of BC invite you to attend a webinar reviewing the newly- released draft national standards on long-term care developed by the Health Standards Organization (HSO) of Canada and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
Distinguished speakers include Dr. Pat Armstrong, York University and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Isobel Mackenzie, BC Seniors Advocate, Dr. Penny McCourt, Action for Reform of Residential Care BC (ARRCBC), and Natalie Mehra, Executive Director, Ontario Health Coalition. Shannon Daub, Director BC Centre of Policy Alternatives (CCPA) is the moderator.
This webinar provides a special opportunity for the public and seniors in particular to hear from independent experts about the new draft national standards for long-term care, to comment on the standards and on the path forward. The two HSO and CSA have asked for public feedback and we plan to provide that with your input.
For background information about the new HSO draft standards and how they relate to a new national standard for Canada, review our two recent blog posts on the subject:
