Austerity on the Front Lines: Health Care Workers and Rural Patients at Risk

Though the Finance Minister declared it was “not an austerity budget”, there was no relief in sight for rural and remote communities. In health care, a marginal budget increase effectively amounts to a cut in services over the duration of the fiscal plan.

The Provincial Budget: Rural Care at Risk, was a timely webinar discussing how inadequate funding will continue to disproportionately impact those who live far from urban centers.
