The BC Health Coalition wants to build on the successes in public health care. We believe that by expanding public innovation and positive public solutions we can directly address the challenges we are facing in our health care system. Here are some of the key documents we would like to share with you: - The BC Health Coalition worked with experts, professionals, and citizens to develop a report titled “Positive. Public. 10 Steps to Stronger Health Care.” It takes an extensive look at the challenges our system faces, and suggests positive, public solutions to ensure the sustainability of an equitable and accessible public health care system for generations to come.

- Surgical waitlists can be dramatically cut if governments develop strategies to scale up innovations already underway in the public health care system.
The BC Health Coalition has co-authored an April 2007 paper - Why Wait? Public Solutions to Cure Surgical Waitlists. The paper looks at groundbreaking projects in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario that have significantly reduced wait times for procedures such as hip and knee replacements, cataract surgery and others.
