Getting there

The Firefighters’ Conference Centre is conveniently located in the Metrotown area of Burnaby. Metrotown is the primary commercial hub of Metro Vancouver and is easily accessible from almost anywhere in the region.
The Venue is located in the Metrotown Mall complex and is a short walk from the Metrotown Skytrain station. Download a map.

If using public transit you can visit the Regional Transportation Authority (Translink) trip planner before hand and enter “Metrotown” as the destination and you location (e.g., “Airport”) and a trip itinerary and map will be generated for you.

If driving, the parking in the Metrotown Mall complex is free.

The venue is wheelchair accessible and there is a pub and restaurant downstairs if you want to stay until our public event on Friday evening.

Shuttle Service Available

Star limousine service will have a sedan waiting on the south side of Central Boulevard at the exit of the Skytrain station. It will have a sign reading "BC Health Coalition". Please ask the driver to take you to the venue. There will be no charge.

May 14th Public eventPublic Health Care: How can we sustain it?

We encourage you to attend our free public forum on the evening of the 14th entitled: Public Health Care: How can we sustain it? We increasingly hear that more private for-profit health care is needed to ensure that our public health care system remains “sustainable” and we are excited to host an event that will explore the motivation behind, and implications of, expanded for-profit health care in BC and Canada.

If you live in the Metro Vancouver area you can download a poster for your neighborhood and spread the word for others to come.
